Self Employment Project for Village Women

Manavata Mahila Samstha (MMS) inagurated a training program for Village women in Need
Manavata Mahila Samstha (MMS) has been initiated in village for developing self employment activities to poor. With the inspiration of Knowledge Movement, Village women had started a group to help needy with Knowledge sharing. MMS has initiated in first week of August with the meeting organized by Vishnu Kumar in Lolla. They have excited and surveyed whole village to find out the needy. Now they came out with the list of 30 people who are interested to learn and who are in need.

As a first step they have inaugurated self employment training program for these 30 people. With the local village youth help, with Manavata volunteers support and with the support of Government they could procure few sewing machines for this training. Now the training has been started in 3 batches. 10-12, 12- 2 and 2-4; The voluntary teachers have been taking classes and responsibility of training them in tailoring and some hand work skills.

To show them the direction, give them the real experience and to make them start earning, Manavata is planning to order t-shirts and caps with it's logos. They are also planning to take some orders from other institutions & individuals for initial survival.
